SMS opt-in details
This page documents how people opt in to texts from Lucid by Humid Research. It's here for carrier and Twilio review, and for anyone who wants to see exactly what they agreed to.
How people opt in
- The person goes to lucid.humidresearch.com/join (linked from every page as “Get early access”).
- They enter their US mobile number and tick the text message consent box. It is never pre-checked and is separate from the box accepting the SMS Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are linked right below it.
- They press “Get early access”. The number, the consent wording and its version, the time, page, IP address and user agent are stored.
- When the phone line opens, each person gets exactly one confirmation text. After that Lucid only replies to their own calls and texts. STOP, HELP and START work at any time.
