Pre-launch · phone line not open yet

Lucid / by Humid Research

A writing app for thinking out loud, and soon a phone line: call or text Lucid to leave notes and ask about your projects. Sign-ups are open; the line is not live yet.

Think out loud from anywhere. Lucid writes it down.

Lucid is a writing app for thinking out loud. You talk, it turns the rambling into a clean, formatted note, and it asks the questions that sharpen the idea. The Lucid phone line takes that away from your desk: call and talk an idea through and it becomes a note in the right project, or text a quick note and ask what's still open. Lucid only replies when you reach out.

Dithered illustration of a phone: someone texts Lucid a note for their podcast pilot project; a reply starting “Lucid by Humid Research:” confirms it was saved as a new note, then another lists the two questions still open.

How it works

  1. 1. Lucid on your computer In development

Dictate and Lucid formats your words into a note, asks clarifying questions, and keeps a living summary of each project.

  2. 2. Sign up Open now

Add your mobile number on the sign-up page and tick a separate text message consent box. It's never pre-checked.

  3. 3. Call or text Not live yet

When the line opens you get one confirmation text. Then call and think out loud, or text a note or a question. Each one gets a short reply.

  4. 4. Stop anytime Always

Reply STOP to opt out, START to opt back in, or HELP for help.

The studio

Humid Research builds new ways to talk to computers.

Humid Research is an independent studio making tools you can talk to: dictate to, think out loud with, and soon call or text. Lucid is the first. Its phone line is how Lucid becomes reachable away from the desk.
